Privacy, in plain English.

We ask for as little as possible, and we don't sell or share what you give us. Here's what happens to your information when you use this site.

What we collect.

Say Your Piece form: your county and what you wrote. Your name and email are optional — leave them blank if you'd rather stay anonymous. If you give us an email, we'll only use it to follow up with you about what you sent.

Email signup: your email address, so we can send you election dates, registration deadlines, and what's on your ballot. Nothing else.

Check My Status: that button sends you to the Alabama Secretary of State's official voter lookup. We don't see what you enter there.

What we don't do.

We don't sell your information. We don't rent it, trade it, or hand it off to a campaign, a party, or a marketing outfit. We don't run ads on this site, and we don't share your email with anyone who would.

We don't ask for your address, phone number, date of birth, or anything else we don't need. If a form doesn't have a field for it, we're not collecting it.

How it's stored.

Submissions are kept in a private database that only Project 252 staff can read. It's protected by the standard security controls that come with our hosting provider.

Getting your information removed.

If you'd like us to delete what you sent us, or unsubscribe you from email updates, write to us and we'll take care of it. Any working email that reaches Project 252 works.

Changes to this page.

If we ever change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and note the date below. If the change is significant and we have your email, we'll tell you before it takes effect.
